William Shakespeare
William Shakespeare was born April 26, 1654 in Stratford-Upon-Avon. He went to the Stratford Grammar School until age fifteen and was never formally educated after that. At age eighteen, he married Anne Hathaway who was twenty six. Six months later, their first daughter, Susanna, was born. Two years later, they had twins, Hamnet and Judith. Hamnet died at age eleven of unknown causes. When he was twenty three, he and his family moved to London, where he began to work at the globe theater. His first paid work was poem writing. He has written 38+ plays and is best known for them, but he is also famous for poetry. In 1611, he retired and moved back to Stratford. He died in 1616 after a night of heavy drinking.
